VOLTAGE PROBLEM 1800 1972

I've had my 73 ES for 28 years and had one bad voltage regulator eons ago. When the battery fails you get the indication you've seen. Fortunately I got a lifetime battery back in 79 and have seen the problem every 2-3 years.
