On my '89 the fp check valve is in the cluster with the main pump and fuel filter, under the car, back seat area... either way, just follow the main pump to the filter and you should find it. It keeps the fuel from draining down (one way checdk valve concept) after engine shutoff. For me, I had REALLY long restarts when hot. this cured the problem 100%.
