Is it really the head gasket that is leaking oil or could it be the cam cover gasket? These often need renewal and they are quite easy to replace. Hope that's the case. You should check your crank case ventilation plumbing and flame trap to make sure they are not clogged. Clogged PCV stuff will cause pressure to buildup in the engine and will often cause oil leaks. You would be wise to invest in a Bentley (prefered) or Haynes (my second choice) 240 manual. Don't waste your money of Chilton's books.
