need help with a broken automatic choke on a weber 120-130

its a 64 122 with one weber carb. it was an automatic choke but i guess it wasn't working so the previous owner just kept it closed and would pump it and give it gas to start it. the plastic cover is now gone and the choke is disabled. how can i make this into a manual or fix the automatic? i've been unable to find anything to help me.
