The motor bolts to a big bracket that extends past the ends of the fan blades. You're supposed to use thing plastic bolts through the radiator core (and plastic nuts on the other side) to bolt the bracket right to the radiator.

All that stuff comes with the kit...

There's not really room in the radiator opening of my 1800 for a 12" fan, so I mounted the bracket vertically to the sheet metal in front of the radiator instead. Lots more room in a 140; you wouldn't have to do that.
