Tierods: Negative. Tierods are definitely handed (due to the angles of the balljoints to the rod proper).

Caliper: Affirmative, you will need to disconnect that line. Technically you (or rather I) can sometimes get away with pulling out the line a bit (although that's a lot easier on the 240), but of course that has serious safety implications if you get it wrong so I couldn't possibly advocate doing so .
