I have seen some 240s with the rubber ducky stubby antenna instead of the retractable one that comes with the later 240s. I can't vouch for how well they pick up radio stations compared to the normal aerials, but you can always give it a shot.
My heater fan started squealing a few years before it finally died, so it sounds like yours may be on the way out. I had my dealer replace mine since many say that the car is indeed built around the blower. It is possible to do it yourself, but it's a pain in the you-know-what. Do a search on this site to hear the horror stories of others that have tried it.
As for the air flow to the floors, you may have a crack or split in the vacuum hose that goes to that flap-thingy. Pulling out the center instrument console gives you a view of the hoses. Another possibility is something is wedged in the flap's path or something else is causing it to stick.
Good luck!
