Could some snow/ice have built up around your transmission and drive shaft area causing some mis-alignment or impinginment?

A similar condition happened this recent blizzard (24" snowfall in 24 hours) where the 740 turbo wheels on my 244GL became so packed with snoe it nearly negated the front brakes and caused an "out of balance" condition to the front wheels for a couple of days.

Until I kicked the snow out from between the spokes.
