leaking trans fluid 700

Wouldn't you know it? I should read before asking!

Low and behold the FAQ actually discusses this.

Alright after reading up on this I think I am not going to go the tool route, and that I'm going to go the remove-the-housing route. Called IPD **Tool is totally, unarguably no longer available** due to what is described in the FAQ: failing with flying colors. I think I'll just put some more fluid in to allow it to last a couple days, then start the job mid-week, after I borrow some ramps. I'll get someone to drive each morning, and then I'll also have the weekend to finish it--better than starting on weekend and having a surprise if it goes into the week.

After I get the housing off I will either try and get inventive with removing the seal/bushing, OR I'll just give it to a shop I know that I *kinda* trust.

I found the parts, they're not expensive at all.

Volvocarparts.com seems to have the parts, though after calling IPD and their being a tad helpful in describing the process, they also give torque specs... I may just hand them a few extra bucks... IPD $28 Volvocarparts.com $13.78

The "good guy" dilemma was more easily resolved with brake parts when doubling the cost meant quite a lot.

Anyways, thanks, any extra input is still greatly appreciated
-Matt

PS --- what do you guys do with your old fluids...who will take old tranny fluid/motor oil etc.?
