That's what we always did with similar situations. No way to get it out in a reasonable amount of work otherwise. Usually its from plugged airbox drains/ AC drains whatever you want to call them. A 12-gauge wire is a good tool to snake up the rubber drain tube and get the plug clear. For you metric folks, I believe that's a 3mm-4mm wire size.
