No start 700 1990

The way I read your post, you turned the key and nothing happen except you had good dash lights. Older car I had, intermittent start like your. Mine was a bad ground cable from the battery. Looked good at the clamp, but 6inches inside the insulation corruded.. This sounds electrical. Could be neutral safety switch.
