Hi Philip,

still working on the "accordion-thing" leak, which is located about 6 inches above the grommet.... i actually found the grommet leak while investigating the accordion leak....glad i found it while everything is torn apart at least!!

i think i will just plug it with silicone then..... the accordian leak is still a mystery... all i can say is that it is obvious that whoever owned the car before me did some strange repair work on water leaks and i have a feeling that these repairs are the source of the accordian leak... lots of body putty in odd places, etc.. i'm going to pull out some of the body putty to see what happens. for example some of the body putty is located between the cowl vent & the hood, roughly above the pass. side front wheel - it's bizarre.

all in all i'm making good, if slow, progress on these things. thanks for asking :)
