Fortunately, the cable broke after letting the hood open one last time so that i was able to jury rig a temporary pull to open the hood.

When I pull on the release, I get no movement from the cable so I assume it's broken. However, pulling on the latch end, I get no movement either. I found one cable clamp near the front, according to Betleys, there should be another one some where that I can't find.

Where's the other clamp? And it is then as easy as pulling the old cable into the car? How about getting the new one back through?
