engine not warm enough 120-130 1967

It's 10 degrees here in NYC and the 122 just isn't geting warm enough. Remembering the radiator shade in the 544 and early 122(?) I grabbed a piece of cardboard out of a nearby dumpster and slid that down in front of the radiator, climbed back in and while waiting for it to warm up, I began thinking about an electric fan that wouldn't be cooling down a very cold radiator. I'm running a B20 with an E head and SUs. At the front of the head there was (and still is), a temp sensor which I guess went to some meter measuring water temperature. In my setup it's jsut plugging the hole. I'm wondering if it'd be worth the hassle to install an electric fan in front of the radiator using this sensor to turn the fan on and off. What would be involved? Any fans we know of that fit this need with minimal adaptation? What sort of wiring setup would be required - and what sort of temperature monitoring switch (adjustable?) would I need? Somebody must have done this. Ron, maybe?
