drivers side balljoint removal

Hi,im having some problems here removing the drivers side balljoint as 2 of the 4 bolts are hitting my A arm,do i need to remove the strut from the strut tower and let it lean out to be able to remove all 4 bolts from the bottom of the strut.Any one with some experiance in this please drop me a line here,and break your instructions to a very simple level.
