Oil temp sender

Hi. I have a question about the oil temp sender. I know from previous posts the best place is the oil pan. How can I adapt it into the oil drain plug? Should I get the sender from egauges.com? It has a 1/2"-14 NPT thread. How will I make this into a drain plug? Thanks
