Right now my car has a metal fan that is connected directly to the water pump. There is no variable speed/clutch device. Anyway, I was wondering if any one has converted their car to a new electric fan that just bolts to the radiator. This would eliminate the extra stresses that the fan puts on the engine and would stop that yucky whirring sound at higher rpms. Any ideas/comments?
