RUST! 1800

Over on the Yahoo 1800 list we hashed this out a few months ago. One of the listees is a cathodic protection specialist. His basic response was: its a waste of money.

As far as rust repair goes, the best way is to remove the affected area and replace with new metal. Next best way. Clean affected area, treat with POR 15, do cosmetic touch up with non-absorbing filler material.

All body panels are readily available.
