50/50 is the customarily-used proportion and provides adequate depression
for most places in the temperate zone. I believe that the lowest freezing
mixture is about 60% glycol. If I remember right (42 years ago) that is
what we used when I was a trainee motor mechanic in the Army Reserve.
BTW all I got was OJT because when I went on active duty I was trained as
a cannoneer.
