It's likely that you have some server space allocated to you by your ISP. You can store a hi-res, uncompressed image file there, and then embed the image file's address in your message or in your signature file using html.

Problem solved.

However, even though this works, be considerate of your viewers. A 2-meg image file takes a looooong time to download via dial-up.
