OEM shocks for the earliest models had a tube sticking out of one side
of the bottom of the shock and mounted with a straight bolt.
Later ones had an adaptor so that a more standard shock would fit.
The adaptor probably shows on the microfiches for about 1972 or 73
and later. With that adaptor you use the later shocks also.
If you can't buy the adaptor it would not be hard to make.
