A replacemnet engine is in the back of my mind but I am still trying to figure out what is wrong with my engine. It is now smoking from the oil filler cap and from the oil dipstick (only when these are removed, I should add) but there is also a great amount of water coming out from the exhaust. Pure water as well as steam, and I mean a lot. This is why I suspect the head gasket as I did have two overheats, one of which killed my water pump off. There is no sign of leakage other than the huge amounts of water from the exhaust.
I will soon do a compression test.
