Easy Question

i would suspect the temp compensation board, they are notorious for going kaput. if the wiring from the temp sensor back is ok, not fraying, then the temp board is most likely the culprit.

I just replaced mine in my '88 244, gauge works great now! it used to work sometimes and sometimes not.

rstarkie, emailed me some pics of how to reroute the circut. it requires a 1-2" wire and a soldering iron. The boards cost $95 from a dealer, luckly i found on on ebay, new, for $11 but that is quite rare. I would recommend soldering a jumper wire in to save you some $$$ and time.

let me know if you want the pics.
