Tried to do trans flush. I've got a problem and not sure where to catch fluid?

I am confused now. I thought that (hot) transmission oil is going from the AT box to the radiator/cooler over the top line and then flowing back out of the bottom fitting at the radiator/cooler to the AT box. Am I wrong and the actual flow should be reversed?
