Flame Trap question

I am not sure what you are describing, but, unless your car is a turbo, it should have a flame trap. Sounds like someone has maybe just removed the original and not replaced it. You probably should get a manual and check photos to be sure. Otherwise, just clean everything up with WD-40 (including hoses), stick the flame trap you bought into the flange, and put everything back together.
