Fog lights

On my '86 240 wagon I used the rear fog fuse/relay/switch. I then made the rear fogs(top red tail light)additional brake lights,by jumping the bottom wire to the top spade.It doesn't even trigger the bulb out sensor.
I grounded the fogs to the horn mount behind the grill.
