It's very possible that you wont see cracks in the 'Lands' on the printed circuit board of the Relay. Run solder over all the Lands anyway.

The blackness on the Contacts is where the high current arcs over when the relay is activated. This is not necesarrily an indication of it being bad. You can run very fine sanpaper between those contacts to clean them just for giggles.
