Engine Troubles

Hi Ron,

Years ago I bought a 120 series wagon. THe lady who owned it had driven it with a completely worn out lower ball joint. She handed me a note from a garage warning her it was dangerously worn dated 2 years previously!

Anyhow it failed and I bought the car with the lower joint pulled out. I went and recovered it and replaced the joint on her drive so I could drive the car onto the trailer. I drove the car round the block and its brakes were absolutely fine. I got halfway up the trailer and the servo failed completely, no brakes at all. I vowed there and then I'd never risk my life to an old Girling servo.

I've had no trouble with the Lockheed replacements though.

Regards

Pete
