soft brake pedal

Hmm, that's an interesting thought. My rear caliper nipples are on top, and it does seem possible that everything would bolt up with the left and right switched. Can you tell if the pads appear to align with and contact the rotors evenly? I'm wondering if it even matters if they are reversed. I still don't see how that would result in a severely soft pedal, though.

Now, I take back something I said in my previous post: if the front left and right lines were switched, that could leave air in the system by throwing off the bleeding sequence. Find yourself another non-ABS 200 and compare brake line routing. Maybe take some pics.
