Tranny Trouble

I also am an advocate of flushing, see the 700/900 FAQ section on details. This is an easy process and can sometimes cure problems. A recent flush using synthetic ATF cured 2 problems on my 88 740, delayed 1st to 2nd shift and intermittent overdrive problems. As the other poster says check the kickdown cable as well.
