Well, hmm... It appears as though I just had a bad run of lightswitches. I got a "new" one and it's working fine. Another curious thing started happening though-- The high-beam flash feature on the blinker shaft had been disconnected (or so I think; it doesn't flash the lights) by the previous owner when, I suppose, he (or she) put a new high beam foot switch in. However, if I pull on the blinker, the red bottom fuse blows. Okay, truth is, I tried to hook it up so the horn would beep when I pulled on the blinker, for I can't get the horn to honk. That idea didn't work, so I reversed what I had done, which was to take a mysterious wire which was taped up and coming out of the black multi-wire-carrying snake (pardon my terminology) on the inside of the driver's side fender and hook it up the the positive on the horn. So. It didn't work, just blew the fuse which goes to my dome light (and probably other things, I know not which. I need a wiring diagram. Any on line?). Is it possible for horns to quit working?
