starter motor

You're right it did. It was a Bosch unit from an 84 b21 not b23 as previously stated. Easy as pie if you don't count the hour under the car with snow and a north wind blowing trying to get those 2 bolts loosened. Time to buy that 1/2" drive set I've been needing and a damn 19mm wrench. It was pretty cool actually having a replacement part sitting on a shelf at home. Gotta love parts cars.
