Jacking front end 200

Yes it's best to take the front splash pan off. It's in the way of almost everything anyway.
When servicing sway bars you're going to need to have both wheels off the ground to unload it. Nobody's strong enough to fight with that thing!
The front crossmember is a great place to pick the car up. It's bolted right to the frame and is heavy gauge steel. Just make sure the jack is solidly under it, and won't slide off because the thing is filthy and oily. They're always filthy and oily. Jackstands are a must if there is any reason to put your body under the car. Maybe it's unnecessary to say, but it bears repeating: NEVER jack the car up with the engine. You'll just destroy the oil pan and most likely tear the motor mounts. I've seen it done...
