Distributor O-rings source?

Charles the only time I have ever done distributor o-rings is on a project 89 740 that I bought which was literally dumping oil out of every possible place. After replacing the rear crank and the 3 front seals, only to find oil was still leaking, then I did the dist o-rings. Oil still leaked! I finally figured out it was the valve cover gasket.

If I were you, I would probably replace both (o-rings and valve cover gasket), the parts are all cheap and it's a pretty easy job. I really don't know how common it is for dist seals to leak, and I can't really tell if mine were leaking or not since changing them alone didn't solve my problem.

BTW the valve cover gaskets at autozone are junk... they are thin cardboard. the fcpgroton gaskets are a nice thick rubberized material which is very flexible, and it needs to be to get over the cam "hump" and seal the corners correctly. If you need a gasket quick, I have a couple extras. Don't have any extra distributor o-rings though.
