air compressor recomendation.

There is an air compressor for sale at Lowes. It comes with a wrench/sockets, grinder, paint gun and the filling attachments, 12HP. Can I get by with a 2 Gallon (and buy the tools seperately) to run this stuff you should I just go with the package with the higher HP compressor? What brands do you guys use?
