Vibrations when accelerating/deccelerating 200 1986

Hi. I have noticed that whenever I am accelerating or decceleraring around the 40mph and then 55/60mph marks that I get a lot of vibrations running the length of my car. When accelerating, the vibrations start at the engine and move towards the back, and then do the reverse when I deccelerate. What could cause this? Could it be a side effect of the slightly constricted exhaust?
