I'll look into that this weekend. Would this temp sensor (if bad) cause a really rich mixture? It almost seems like the car runs really rich until it is warmed up all the way (and then just kind of rich). I don't see black smoke, but that may be because the innards of my catalytic converter are missing.

I'll also sometimes hear occasional little explosions (detonation?) if I stomp on the accellerator while the car is still cold and in gear. The engine seems to perform fine when in park, but acts up under load.
