How to test drive/check a 95' 940 wagon?

Thanks, Chris!

I guess you are a mech or you do volvo job by yourself. Your advice is very helpful. Actually, my concern for this car is exactly what you said - Low price for a low mileage 95' 940. I am kind of afraid of taking this offer. I mean, I do love to get a volvo, but I hate to get volvo needing a lot of repair job in the future. The past experience of my 240 left me one rule only - buy a mint reliable volvo. I want to buy a new volvo, however I am no money. :-( New volvo cost $30K+, which is far more than I could afford. I just hope I will get the volvo I need, and I will care it as good as possible, and keep it running strongly for all its life. You said your dad's 940 with 175k miles can run like a new car - that's amazing. I should say it's always a good idea to service/maintain your car than to repair your car.

One thing I am really concerned, as I mentioned in the other post, is body painting. It's quite possible the body painting is going bad in a few years. The body job generally cost fortune. But, who knows, I will check this car out. One thing I need to mention, it's in an auto public auction company, it's not for auction though. So, I may not get any helpful service record. If you have any other good suggestion, please be sure to tell me.

Later, I will share with you purchasing experience. ;-)
