I was given an '83 244 B21F turbo 221K mi. The body and chassis are OK except for the "spots" on the rear fenderwells and the left rear footwell. I haven't tried to start it, but I am not worried. I really need to know any mechanic's particulars about the MFI and turbo intake. Not specs, but what should I check, what are "normal" trouble spots or adjustments. I have learned some from the archives and would like to know as much as possible. I am familiar with Volvo engineering and engines. I have been maintaining and repairing my wife's everyday car (84 245 B23F 302K mi.) the best, most reliable, most durable vehicle I have known. I will disassemble/clean/rebuild the entire car before putting the wife and kid in it, but I am not familiar with MFI or turbo applications.
Thank you in advance for any assistance. This forum is fantastic.
