steering rack repalcement 700 1992

I'm getting ready to replace the steering rack in my 92 740 turbo. I did buy a new p/s hose from the rack to the pump...anything I should know before I start?..Any special wrenches or tools?...If I use a filter in the line to the resevoir, whose should it be?...Finally,..how important is it to dismantle the SRS other than disconnecting the negative cable on the battery?
How big a job is it to replace the P/S pump when it's located under the turbo and the a/c unit is on the opposite side?
