M410 / M41 tranny flange interchange 1800

The 140 drive shafts won't fit - the wheelbase is shorter on the 1800. You might just check on getting the spline replaced at a machine shop. They aren't as expensive as you might think - they just cut out the old and weld in a generic replacement, rebalance. Look in the yellow pages for a machine shop that specializes in drive train modifications (hot rodders are always getting things modified) and take it there for an estimate. I had the driveshaft on my 544 shortened and balanced to fit my OD tranny for only $40.
