ABS check light 700 1989

Hi everyone...

I take it my brick is equipped with ABS self check, but having just replaced the master cylinder and booster have established that the ABS doesn`t work, and hasn`t since I bought the vehicle.

Which dash light refers to the above, and is there a common cause for the failure of the entire system.

The dealers mechanic who put a warrant of fitness on the vehicle prior to me purchasing it merely put a line through the ABS check light portion, ie pretending it didn`t exist.

If the car has the function and I suspect it does, believe me I will be taking the matter up with him !!
