Occasional stalling when coming to a stop, what causes it? 700

Kind of weird, just happens occasionally. Yesterday I was running around town and the car stalled a few times, usually when coming to a stop light/sign. I'd put it in neutral and it would start up right away. I drove it in the mid afternoon and it was hot out. This is on a 88' turbo wagon with auto tranny. Today it seems to be ok, but I have filled up in the meantime.
