Rough Idle, Engine Stop 900 1991

I have a problem with my 91 940 Turbo. When idling rpm drops below 500, the engine runs very rough and shake the entire car, dark smoke coming out from the exhaust, and the engine eventually stop running. i just replaced air mass meter but i still have the same problem. A mechanic said the fuel pressure regulator is the problem, but he is the same mechanic who says i need to replace the air mass meter. The code extracted from the computer is 2-3-2. please help, i would greatly appreciate it.
