Starting Up Problem 200 1987

Does anyone else have the problem of stalling after your Volvo has been sitting for some time?
Every morning I go through the same ritual of reving the engine. I release the clutch, apply gas and it wants to cut out. It seems that there is not enough gas getting to the engine. I have to rev it up and release the clutch, and peel out of my driveway, or it will sputter and quit. The rest of the day it will be fine and works perfect.
Any ideas?
