light warning/fog lights 700 1987

I've lost my fog lights in front and since then i got this warning light at the dash board that a light doesn't work anymore when i turn on my lights. As I don't wana buy new fog lights I don't know how to get rid of this warning. If tried to put a resistor in between but it didn't help. So any ideas or what is it measuring that the warning comes up??
