Water on the floor..need input!! 900 1993

I have a water/moisture problem with my 93 940 wagon. It is on the floor deck of the front passenger side. Initially, I felt the carpet under the mat and it was damp. I thought I had the dreaded heater core leak, but I really am not loosing any anti-freeze and I check the level daily and it is not green in color it just plain water, I have added about 6 oz. of anti-freeze in 5K miles during the hottest summer on record for the Northeast9which has to be normal) so I have concluded it is not the heater core.

Anyone have any issues with leaks from the windshield, AC condensation drainage or other water leak possibilities? I am not ruling out that someone spilled a quantity of liquid at some juncture....and I can tell you Volvo insulates the living hell out of it's cars from the floor deck up....cellulose insulsate, then sponge foam, then neoprene foam, then neoprene backed carpet.

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks!!!john
