STEERING GEAR BOX CHANGE 120-130

My 121 66-67 steering gear box are worn (free play are near 7-8 cms). In my country the next volvos available are 240s. (and I check the rest of the steering system, the freeplay are due the gearbox).

żDo you now if the steering gearbox can be replaced with non-volvo parts? (we lack junk car areas here - no donors car available).
