Help, I can't find my temperature sensor on my 87 740 GLE without a blower. I have a 230 4 cylinder and I have been told the sensor is located under the intake manifold on the side of the engine block. I looked there but can't find it there or anywhere else.

I have also been told that it is a plug that looks similar to the oil pressure sensor on the other side of the block, but with a spade wire connector.

I only have a Haynes manual, and it neither shows a picture of the sensor nor its location.

I have noted in the same area where a friend has told me the sensor should be, below the intake manifold, two plugs with wires. Both have two wire leads. One connector looks a little bit like the fuel injector connectors. The other plug has something to do with the check engine light on the dash.

Any insight you can provide re where to find my temperature sensor and or what exactly these two other plug are would be appreciated.
