Engine reliability: Volvo's OHV vs. OHC

Bob
I have no direct experience with the OHV engines either, the only problem I heard of was the timing gears wearing out. Some friends of mine have had 140 series with the B18/B20, and one still does. he likes those engines, they have good mileage on them.

here is a quote from http://www.cabinnaise.com/vpage/irv.htm

"His car is almost all original, only a few parts replaced, and it's been repainted a few times. The engine was rebuilt once at 680,000 miles. Just recently he rolled over 1,800,000 miles! "

hope this helps

take care
